I am currently based in the Persian/Arabian Gulf. I consider myself a cosmopolitan having spent more than half of my life living in Europe, North America, Asia, North Africa, the Middle East & Indian subcontinent. My background comes mainly from the East.
Travelling has broaden my mind over the years. I usually travel solo and certainly enjoy learning about different cultures and interacting with people from all walks of life.
Whenever time permits, I also try to participate in various charity/voluntary programmes of all sorts (cultural, religious, social, humanitarian etc) as I generally like to keep myself active and busy doing something.
I'm fond of plants and have visited botanical gardens in many countries. I'd love to grow some exotic tropical rainforest plants and strange wild mushrooms!
I love reading - am an avid reader with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. I also fence and play the piano (in the past tense more precisely!).
My favourite cuisine is Eastern European and Scandinavian. I hate pizza and coffee. I've got a really sweet tooth!
